About Our Founder
A former model and published author, Carla Roxanne is a creative force to be reckoned with. Originally from New York, Carla spent a lot of time writing and performing in school plays in her youth. As a young teen, she relocated with her family to the West Coast, where she attended school in Arizona and studied creative writing. Her tall stature and slim physique caught the eye of many boutique owners, resulting in a string of modeling jobs and an invitation to attend the local modeling school.
In the mid-80s, Carla lived in Los Angeles, where she studied journalism and screenwriting and continued her modeling career. Feeling more comfortable behind the scenes than in front of the camera, she concentrated on writing and production. She became a published author and released her first book, The Single Girl’s Guide to Conquering LA, in 2018. Her next book will be out in 2023. To provide writing assistance, promote independent projects, and support other artists, Carla founded DQP.
